Report of death

About 11.45pm on the 23-1-80, the deceased had been watching television at home, when he went to bed where he complained to his wife of chest pains and pains in both his arms. He was also suffering hot and cold spells. He requested that his wife get his next door neighbour Mr Mullens drive him to Ryde Hospital. Whilst in Cecil Street, Ryde en route to Ryde Hospital about 1 mile away, the deceased said to Mr Mullens, “I think I’m gone mate”. The deceased then started making gurgling sounds and vomited and slumped over onto Mr Mullens. The deceased arrived at Ryde Hospital at 12-05am on the 24-1-80 where attempts by hospital staff to revive him were unsuccessful and life was pronounced extinct at 12.36am that day by Dr Taylor. Prior to death, the deceased had enjoyed good health and had not suffered from any ailments apart from a weight problem. THERE ARE NO SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE DEATH OF JOHN RENNEX.
